Amaryllis Santiago aka The Latin Phoenix ®™ is a GRAMMY & LARAS Artist and former Governor of the Philadelphia Chapter Recording Academy. She performed with `Jose Feliciano` as his special guest on his 2013 World Tour. ​

​With her recent move to the Chicago area, she has covered the song `Sausalito Nights` written by UK lyricist and talent scout `Raymond Fry` of Midas King Productions (London UK), composer Steve Jai Johnson (West Virginia USA), and Arranger/producer

Some of the area’s best Chi-town musicians are working on her next project, “Deeply Rooted”.

In June 2015, Amaryllis was notified by the `Stiletto Awards Association` CEO and Founder, `Sha Battle`; of being nominated and an Honoree award recipient for the upcoming 2016 Latin Impact Award to be held in Atlanta, Georgia-June 2016. She will also be performing at the mainstage.

“Voy A Conquistarte” was released on June 16, 2015 and is a collaborative effort with `Julio “Gunda” Merced` (The album will feature `Paquito Guzman “Quiereme` and feature original music by `Julio Gunda Merced` who is recognized as one of the most accomplished Salsa producers. (Among his accolades are over a hundred hits and seventy record productions in collaboration with `Nino Segarra`, `Tito Gomez`, `Luisito Carrion`, `Gilberto Santa Rosa`, `MP All Stars`, `Puerto Rican Power Orchestra`, `Mimi Ibarra`, `Roberto Roena`, and `Willie Rosario`.) He has created a unique Salsa style for her and promises that it will be an awesome experience for her new fan base as well as those that have been following her career.  She is also working alongside `Carlos Paez` who has worked alongside of `Julio "Gunda Merced` for the last 40 years as General Manager with some of the top industry Latin Record Labels. This will be her third Latin Salsa music project.  `Voy A Conquistarte` was submitted to The Latin Grammy's for the 16th Latin Grammy submission process in several categories as well as The Recording Academy 58th Grammy submission. 

Amaryllis was a Presenter and Co-Host in 2014 and 2015 for The Lehigh Valley Music Awards, at the SteelStacks® Campus in Bethlehem, Pa. She also was invited to be one of the Co-Hosts alongside of Rhona Bennet and Lexi Lewis at The 34th Annual Chicago Music Awards, which was held at the Historic Copernicus Theatre, Chicago in 2015.

She was nominated and received an award in the Best Latin/Best Brazilian Music Category from GHP Radio Show in 2014.

She also served as a Member with HACC-Central PA Community College Music Industry Advisory Board in 2014.

She was on the Judging Panel for The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs (GACLA) Talent Recognition Show in 2013.

The CD, “No Me Doy Por Vencida” was submitted to The 14th Latin Grammy (r) 2013 “For Consideration,” in 3 different categories. The single, “No Me Doy Por Vencida” reached #34 in The Tropical Latin Charts. (Allmusic.com/Mediabase) It was produced in collaboration with Erben Perez (Mark Anthony’s Bass Player for 20+ years), and Craig White who is a 30 year veteran of all phases of the entertainment industry. (His engineering credits include projects with Celine Dion, Kool and the Gang, Gerald Levert, Wendy O. Williams, and most of the Philadelphia International Records roster; Phyllis Hyman, Dexter Wansel, The O’Jays, and Lou Rawls.)She released her Self-Published Book, “Poetry From Within” in 2010.

The “Sabor Latino” album was produced in collaboration with Aaron “El Kosherican” Levinson, Grammy Winner for Salsa Album of the Year 2005. Edy Martinez, also a Grammy nominee, arranged and played piano on her song. (As musical director he’s accompanied icons Ray Barreto, Gato Barbieri, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría and Dizzy Gillespie. As a pianist, he has played with many legends of the salsa and Latin jazz world including Rubén Blades, Jerry Gonzalez, Celia Cruz, Alfredito de la Fé, Paquito de Rivera and others.)

The "Next Level" CD was her first original studio recording and received a Special Mention at Marché International du Disque et de l’Edition Musicale (MIDEM), the Cannes, France music trade fair. Amaryllis is the First Jazz Latina to have 2 songs in the Top 10 of MIDEM’s Preview Magazine in 2008. (#6 – Simply Me and #10 – VFW)
